The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He tests and evaluates cleaning appliances, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum combos. Multitaskers can be an excellent choice for those looking to remove mopping from their list of tasks. Some have great navigation and obstacles avoidance. Some wash and refill mopping pads for a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that can also mop, this is the model you should go for. It is smaller than other options and makes it easier to maneuver into tight corners or under furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the best navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 minutes when mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery halfway through a clean.

It's very fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways in just one motion. Its 8,000pa suction motor will quickly pick up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help to tease out debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by much. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high speed and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly cleaning up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a bit more than other robots. This is useful in difficult corners or along baseboards. Those same front arms can be used to sweep larger objects, such as broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't produce more noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to install and performs well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum solely to mop, you will need to pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a variety of features.

The device comes with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the house and identify furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean effectively and intelligently. This results in a thorough, consistent clean that's also fairly fast.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other difficult to reach areas. They also have a stretchy side brush that can extend to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads can also be washable and can be dried to remove odors and prevent buildup.

App-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction intensity and choose a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it must make, which will affect the speed at which the device can traverse your home. You can also disable the side brush in order to prevent damage to carpets and carpets.

The device comes with a expensive price tag, but it is packed with a wide array of advanced features. However, it's important to note that it incurs periodic expenses in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For example the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad must be replaced every three to six months.

This robot vacuum that mops has a high rating on Amazon and comes with a wide variety of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also has an power button that doubles as the 'Clean button' and a Home button that allows it to go back home after cleaning. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically empties the trash bin and refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a professional with a lot of work or just want to have a clean home without spending hours doing chores The Shark Matrix Plus is a good option. Its incredibly fast performance, sophisticated navigation and long battery life allow you to maintain a clean home with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, that is, it can do both vacuuming and mopping. The robot comes with two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping module with microfiber pads that snap into and out of position. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may appear a bit dated, but they do mean that you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refueling the tank with water.

Our test participants found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its greatest feature is its precise floorplan map, which it employs when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option of setting 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers, which can help to shield specific areas of your home from being scrubbed with a mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of collecting pet hair. It was able to collect many of the hair that shed by our cats, and even got into some of the nooks and crannies on our stairs, where other robots had struggled. It was fairly quiet and had some pleasant jingles that let you know when it was about to start or finished its work.

The biggest flaws were its simplistic app and the requirement to swap between the modules to switch between mopping and vacuuming. The app can't store multiple maps, which can be a hassle when you live in a house that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those looking for an intelligent robot that is capable of vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that can be found in our review, but it has some distinct features that make it worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its enormous dock that doubles as a charging base and housing for two water tanks, a sink for cleaning, and a 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically eliminates.

The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system.  robot vacuum cleaners  allow you to manually start cleaning or recall the robot or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognising objects.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally become so entangled with obstacles, like the power cord that is draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you remove it manually. While this was rare, it was a frustrating experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni doesn't have an "stuck" status alert on its application.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't too bad except for the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses which could lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a huge contrast to the basic black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's an impressive sight in the market that is dominated by boxy units.
